Cuban Baseball: Former MLB Pitcher Thinks Current Major Leaguers Could Be Out Of Jobs? [VIDEO]

According to media reports, Rocker says that he thinks that players will start joining the MLB in droves if they no longer have to risk their lives just to escape the country. Players such as Yasiel Puig have had to brave life-threatening conditions and avoid detection in order to escape Cuba and have a chance to play in America.

Rocker also notes the success of recent Cuban imports like Puig, Yoenis Cespedes, and Jose Abreu and says that Cuba has plenty more talent like those guys and that many current major leaguers might find themselves out of a job if it becomes easier for Cubans to join the professional ranks.

Rocker is a former major league pitcher that spent time with the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Cleveland Indians. He was known for having a fiery temper and occasionally putting his foot in his mouth during media sessions. He was also allegedly the inspiration for the character Kenny Powers, played by Danny McBride on HBO's Eastbound & Down.
