Real Madrid Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez 'Will Not Leave the Club,' Says Agent

The ongoing saga that is the future of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez added another narrative on Thursday. Eduardo Hernandez, the 26-year-old's agent, spoke to the media in Mexico about a possible exit in the January transfer window.

Needless to say, no major developments broke.

"Sometimes the media speculate too much and assume situations," the agent said (via AS). "A few days ago, I was with the Real Madrid directors and Javier. He will not leave the club [in January]. Yes he is eager to play more minutes, but he knows that hard work will open up more opportunities. He has his future ahead of him."

Whether or not that future remains in Madrid beyond 2015 remains a question mark, but regardless of what the future holds, nothing will be decided without the consultation of Manchester United.

"If Madrid do not exercise the option to buy, it will not be until the end of the season," Hernandez added. "In any case, we have to consult with the board of Manchester United to know what the future holds for Chicharito."

The cause for rampant speculation surrounding Chicharito's future is a lack of playing time. The Mexican international only featured for 520 minutes across all competitions since joining from United, but like every decent agent, Eduardo Hernandez provided justification.

"Real Madrid are a team full of impressive players, and obviously, to earn a spot is difficult. But Javier has a great quality in working hard, like he has since the first day, and this is his merit."
