The San Jose Sharks unveiled the jerseys they will wear when they take on the Los Angeles Kings in an outdoor game as part of the NHL's Stadium Series at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on Feb. 21.
The Sharks revealed the jerseys on Friday and they look like the standard teal home uniforms on top while a strip of white comes through the middle and the bottom part of the sweater is black.
San Jose's jerseys are bolder visually than their standard uniforms while the numbers are bigger than usual and a shoulder patch with a picture of a sharks fin popping out of the water and the words "Northern California" written out also adorns the jersey.
The Sharks unveiled the uniform in a video on their official Twitter account:
After the NHL put on six outdoor games last season, the league scaled back by having just two matches in the elements in 2015.
Along with the Sharks vs. Kings tilt on Feb. 21, the NHL's annual Winter Classic will take place on New Year's Day when the Washington Capitals host the Chicago Blackhawks at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
The Sharks and Kings will play in just the 18th regulation NHL game to be held outdoors. This matchup will mark the fifth game in the elements that falls under the NHL Stadium Series umbrella.
Last season, the New York Rangers hosted the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders at Yankee Stadium in two separate affairs as part of the Stadium Series concept while the Kings hosted the Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium and the Blackhawks hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field.
The Sharks will serve as the home team and are looking to avenge a loss in Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs last spring that saw San Jose cough up a 3-0 series lead and lose to L.A. in seven games.
The Kings went on to win the second Stanley Cup in franchise history and second in the last three years.
The Sharks and Kings met on Opening Night this season as L.A. raised its Stanley Cup banner on Oct. 8, but was handed a 4-0 shutout loss. The teams play two more times before the Stadium Series with the next contest set for Dec. 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
These California rivals take their battle outdoors when they take the ice at Levi's Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 21 in Santa Clara, Calif.
