Two clubs chasing UEFA Europa League glory will do battle today in a match between Everton and Krasnodar. The group-stage match scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET will be held at Goodison Park in Liverpool and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 1.
What They're Saying
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard (via Liverpool Echo): "I've accomplished a lot, but I'm hardly done. I want this team to win some silverware while I'm here, something to cement my legacy in Everton soccer history. Over the summer I made the tough decision to take a year off from playing for the national team. I have always believed that representing my country is a gift that's not to be squandered, but [children[ Ali and Jacob, they are gifts too and I've missed out on too much of their lives already."
Everton striker Arouna Kone (via Sports Mole): "It is very important for a player to have his manager's support and fans when he was not playing. We were doing so well last season and it was very frustrating as I wanted to be a part of it. Now, I'm fully fit and almost ready. Now, I'm focused on having a good second half of the season."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Kone isn't the only Everton player attempting to return from injury. Bryan Oviedo, who was forced to miss the 2014 World Cup with a broken leg, is also projected to start at Goodison Park. Last season, the Costa Rican international finished with two goals and an average of 3.2 tackles.
Everton's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Robles; Oviedo, Garbutt, Alcaraz, Browning; Ledson, Galloway; Pienaar, McAleny, Atsu; Kone
Krasnodar's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Dikan, Kaleshin, Martynovich, Granqvist, Izmailov, Mamaev, Gazinskaya, Petrov, Joãozinho, Pereyra, Wanderson
