Jon Jones Next Fight: Daniel Cormier, Bones Won't Hug Following UFC 182 Bout [VIDEO]

Jon "Bones" Jones is gearing up for his title defense at UFC 182 against Daniel Cormier, and he recently had some comments about many of the other happenings around UFC. Jones took some time to speak his mind about facing the winner of Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson and about CM Punk joining UFC, among other things.

Anthony Johnson Hopes Cormier Defeats Jones

According to media reports, Jones feels great as he finishes up his recovery from the injury that pushed his fight with Cormier back to January (the bout was originally scheduled for September), and he sounds like he will be at 100 percent for the title defense.

He also says that he and Cormier have a legitimate rivalry, adding, "I don't know if we're going to hug after the fight. I doubt it."

Jones added that he is not thinking about moving up to the heavyweight division at this time, although he has previoulsy indicated that it could happen in the near future. If he wins, Jones would likely face the winner of Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson (who fight at UFC 183) in his next match. Jones has said before that if he won that match, he would consider the light heavyweight division clear and start considering a move to heavyweight.

Jones also indicated that he has no preference for who wins between Johnson and Gustafsson because he just wants to fight the best opponent. He dismissed the notion that Gustafsson actually won their previous meeting and that he (Jones) was lucky to win by decision.

Jones also had some fun with the recent talks about CM Punk joining UFC when he sent this tweet:

It is unclear how Jones actually feels about the former WWE star joining UFC, but it certainly seems like he is taking a shot at the decision. Punk has no previous MMA fighting experience, and he has yet to even declare what weight class he will compete in.
