Nick Young, also known as Swaggy P, fired back at Magic Johnson after the Laker legend made some strong comments about the team's struggles. The franchise is off to their worst start in history, and the team is clearly just not that good this season, and everyone has an opinion about how they can fix things.
Johnson alluded to the longstanding NBA tradition of building through the draft when he made his comments. Johnson indicated that he wished the Lakers would lose every game for the rest of the year so that the team could get the highest possible draft pick. Historically, there are only a few teams in NBA history that have won a championship without one of the best 10 players in the league on the roster, and the easiest way to land that kind of superstar is through the draft.
Despite the fact that Magic's comments seem to arise out of his love for the franchise and his desire to see them contending again as soon as possible, not everyone saw it that way, particularly in the Lakers locker room.
Swaggy P, who is never afraid of saying what he thinks, heard Magic's comments and had a response for the Hall of Famer.

"Tell Magic to stay at Dodger Stadium for a while," said Young. "He don't need to bring that smile around here. I'll do all the smiling."
The Lakers earned their sixth win of the season when they beat the Sacramento Kings last night. The win takes the Lakers record to 6-16 for the season, which is the second-worst in the Western Conference. Only five teams haveworse records in the entire league.
