John Wall Cries On Camera [VIDEO]: Wizards Star Dedicates Win To Miyah Telemaque-Nelson, 6- Year Old Friend Who Died Of Cancer

For Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, a win Monday night against the Boston Celtics meant a lot more than just a notch in the standings. Wall was playing the game as a tribute to a recently-deceased 6-year-old girl named Miyah Telemaque-Belson. The two had developed a friendship over the past five months, but Miyah succumbed to Burkitt's Lymphoma.

Wall had been playing Wizards games with the girl's name written on his sneakers all season; Monday night he unfortunately had to write "RIP Miyah" instead. The Verizon Center crowd also acknowledged Miyah en masse via a pregame moment of silence.

Wall rose to the occasion expertly, scoring 26 points and dishing out 17 assists in the Wizards' 133-132 overtime victory. After the game, an emotional Wall broke down when talking to reporters about the young girl.
