Colombian international and Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has denied a move to Monaco saying he has not signed a contract with the French side.
Reports began to emerge last week that a 60 million euro deal had already been agreed between the newly-promoted French club and Atletico Madrid, but speaking at a press conference the day before the Copa Del Rey final, Falcao denied signing any deal.
"I know nothing, in these last few weeks of the season the only thing I am focusing on is Atletico Madrid," he said. "If everything the media said was right, I would have already signed for half of Europe. They have said I am going to Manchester United, to Chelsea, to Real Madrid.
"I don't know what to think anymore. The only thing that is true is that I still have a contract with Atletico Madrid."
"Last year, before the (Europa League) final in Bucharest (against Athletic Bilbao), people said I was going to leave and that the club didn't have the budget to keep me. "All I can say is that I have a contract with Atletico and everything else is speculation." Falcao, whose goal tally has been bettered only by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga this season, is under contract with Atletico until 2016.
The French club were said to be ready to pay a 60 million-euro ($77.4m) release clause to sign "El Tigre".
But Falcao, who has scored 28 goals in La Liga this season, says he has not responded to any interest, from Monaco or elsewhere
