Carmelo Anthony Knicks Rumors: 'Melo Regrets Not Signing With Chicago Bulls? [VIDEO]

Many questioned the logic behind Carmelo Anthony's decision to resign with the New York Knicks at the time. Fans and media alike derided Melo for being all about the money even though he maintained that he thought the Knicks were capable of winning. After a rough start to the season, it appears hindsight may be looming large in Anthony's mind.

Carmelo Anthony Injury Update

The Knicks are currently 4-12 and sit well outside of the playoff picture, which is even worse than it sounds given the weakness of the Eastern Conference compared to the West. The bad start and some early injury issues for Carmelo seem to have him second guessing his decision to resign in New York.

According to media reports, Carmelo gave a recent interview in which he said, "It came down to Chicago and New York. Chicago was the one from Day 1 [and] was something I was very impressed with. They were looking for someone like me to come in and take them to the next level. So it was perfect.

Derrick Rose: 'I Want To Play'

"It was a perfect setup and perfect fit for me in Chicago," added Anthony. "But also I had to think about just living in Chicago. Do I want to live in Chicago? Do I want to take everything I created in New York and move all of that? It came down to that. But there was one point in time I was like, 'Oh, I'm going.'"

Perhaps now the superstar wishes he had stuck with that original impulse. The Bulls are currently third in the East with a 9-6 record, and that includes eight games that they have played without their own superstar, point guard Derrick Rose.
