Punk, who quit the WWE back in January, has had many outside projects since leaving the ring and he wrote the farewell epitaph for Marvel's Superior Foes of Spider-Man for Comicbooks.com. The full epitaph can be read here.

At the conclusion of the letter, Punk calls himself a, "fighter guy, professional procrastinator" as a sign-off.

Punk's work for Marvel is just the latest project he's taken part of in the last 10 months. Punk has done some work for Nerdist since leaving the WWE and even appeared at the AP Music Awards, where he said he was "never ever" returning to the squared circle.

Punk left the WWE on the night after the Royal Rumble earlier this year due to frustration over the way his character was being booked. He was also burned out by the rigorous traveling schedule of the company, leading to him walking out prior to a live episode of Monday Night RAW.

There were rumors that Punk would return, but he has since been referred to as a "retired wrestler" while the WWE has distanced itself from the "Best in the World."

There were rumors that Punk was offered a TNA contract and may fight for Bellator MMA, but none of the speculation has amounted to anything as of yet.

Punk married WWE Diva AJ Lee over the summer and there have been rumors that the three-time Divas Champion may soon take time off from the WWE or leave the company entirely to be with her husband.

Lee took a hiatus from the WWE on April 7, the night after WrestleMania XXX, to move in with Punk and the two were married sometime in June.

Lee returned to the WWE on the June 30 edition of RAW and won her Divas Championship back from Paige upon her return. Lee and Paige feuded for most of her time back from hiatus, but she recently turned her attention to Nikki Bella.

Bella defeated Lee on Sunday at the Survivor Series in St. Louis in a 35-second match, which added fuel to the speculation that Lee wants to leave the company.

While it is possible that Lee will eventually want to leave the company to spend more time with Punk, there have been no reports of their being any truth to the rumor that she'll leave within the next month.

While Punk's days in the squared circle are likely over with, the "Best in the World's" most recent project took him to the realm of comic books.
