The Penguins lost 5-4 to the Islanders on Friday at home then followed it up Saturday with a 4-1 road loss.

"It was a tie game going into the third [period], so we can't say we didn't give ourselves a chance," Penguins captain Sidney Crosby said after Saturday's loss via NHL.com. "That being said, we didn't give a very big push in the third period to give ourselves a chance to win. They raised their level and we didn't."

Crosby is tied for second in the NHL with 18 assists and 26 points this season. Evgeni Malkin scored the lone goal for the Penguins in Saturday's game and has eight goals and 15 assists to rank tied for second on the team with Patric Hornqvist (10 tallies, 13 helpers) with 23 points.

The Bruins are coming off of a 2-0 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night at home.

"Right now what I'll tell you is we've taken a step back again," Bruins coach Claude Julien told NHL.com. "Like I said, it's something that I can't even go into. It's been way more complicated, again as you know, these are not machines, these guys, and there's certain things you try and fix and then you find out there's a little bit more and nobody knows and nobody should know until you go from one stage to the next."

Patrice Bergeron has paced the Bruins with 16 points off of five goals and 11 assists while Carl Soderberg has five tallies and nine helpers for 14 points.

In net, Boston is slated to turn to Tuukka Rask, who is 10-6-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.

Pittsburgh is probable to counter with Marc-Andre Fleury, who is third in the league with 11 wins and has a 2.10 GAA and a .926 save percentage while being tied for the league lead with four shutouts.
