McCoy indicated after the game that his work for the day was still not done. According to media reports, McCoy had plans to watch the Dallas Cowboys face the New York Giants on Sunday night. He told reporters, "Scouting mission. I've got to do some homework."

The Cowboys and Eagles face off on Thanksgiving day in Dallas in the first of two matchups between the two teams. Both teams enter that showdown with 8-3 records, and they are tied for first in the NFC East. In addition to gaining sole possession of first place in the division, the winner of Thursday's matchup will also be well-positioned to make a run at being the top seed in the playoffs and receiving a first-round bye.

The Tennessee game was the first time this season that McCoy gained over 100 yards and scored a touchdown in the same outing. One of the many subplots leading up to this week's game will surely focus on the fact that McCoy, last year's rushing champion, will be playing across the field from this year' rushing leader, Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray.

When asked about sharing the field with Murray, McCoy responded excitedly, saying, "Ahhh. I didn't think about that yet." He later added that he has been impressed by Murray this season. I respect him a whole lot," said McCoy. "He's a heck of a player. But I knew that before this season."
