John Cena vs Brock Lesnar At TLC 2014? WWE Tossing Around Ideas For Dec. 14 Event [VIDEO]

Sunday night's Survivor Series event at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis will be the second consecutive pay-per-view without WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, but "The Beast" may be back at December's special event to take on John Cena.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the WWE is tossing around the idea of having Lesnar defend his championship against Cena at TLC: Tables, Ladder and Chairs on Dec. 14 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Lesnar is expected to return to television next month for the first time since December and is being advertised for a lot of Monday Night RAW episodes in December and January. Cena defeated Randy Orton in a cell match at Hell in a Cell last month to become the No. 1 contender for Lesnar's belt.

Sting and Randy Savage Rumored For WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015

This will be the third match between the two for the gold this year -- and fourth since 2012 -- as Lesnar defeated Cena to win the title at SummerSlam in August and then lost to him via DQ at September's Night of Champions in Nashville.

The match at Night of Champions was Lesnar's last bout up to this point.

Lesnar, who defeated The Undertaker to end The Streak at WrestleMania XXX in April, was rumored to battle Cena at the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, but the WWE may push that slated bout up a month.

It was reported a few weeks back that the Wells Fargo Center was advertising Cena for an appearance in the 30-man Royal Rumble Match, putting in doubt his title match with Lesnar.

Lesnar is expected to retain the championship and hold it until WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. where he is expected to drop it to Roman Reigns.

Reigns (hernia) has been sidelined since September, but is expected to be back in time to compete (and likely win) in the Royal Rumble Match.

If the WWE opts to save Lesnar vs. Cena for the Royal Rumble, word is that the WWE will instead have Cena face Orton and Rollins in a TLC match next month.

If the WWE opts to have Cena vs. Lesnar at TLC, the plan then would be to have Orton and Rollins battle in a TLC singles match. Orton was beaten down by The Authority as a way to write him off of television so he can go film a movie, but he is expected to return as a babyface next month.

As for Sunday's Survivor Series, the fact that Cena is a prominent figure in the WWE's plans going forward means that Team Cena will likely beat Team Authority to avoid being fired, unless the storyline canges following Sunday's result.

It appears as though after a two-month hiatus, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be prominently featured on television again soon.
