Lil Wayne News: Wayne Talks New Projects, Might Settling Old Beefs Be Next?

Rumors of Lil Wayne’s retirement seem greatly exaggerated.

After hinting earlier this year that he might indeed walk away after dropping Tha Carter V, Weezy still has his mind and heart in the studio.

Appearing on an episode of MTV’s “RapFix Live” earlier this week, Wayne confirmed not only will Tha Carter V soon be seeing light of day but that he also has enough material for his DEVOL album, a new Big Tymers project with Birdman and Drake and Like Father, Like Son 2, also with Birdman.

"We haven't started working on that yet,” he Wayne of Like Father, Like Son 2. “But we have so many songs together, so all it takes is a little sharpening, and we have an album. That's been the formula forever, though. It's never been the right time, but in reality, we record every day, and it's for whatever it's for."

Wayne added that he’s typically so busy recording features he rarely has time to work on his own music. "Nowadays, thank God, when I go to the studio every night, I always have to do something for someone else, and then I get to work on whatever I can work on," he told MTV.

Might this be a time of convergence for the oft controversial and outspoken and superstar? At this rate, who knows, he might even be able to put that ongoing Big 3 beef with LeBron, D- Wade and Chris Bosh behind him.
