Chris Jericho recently sat down and discussed the upcoming WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view and the Team Authority vs. Team Cena main event match as well as other topics. Jericho said he hopes that The Authority wins at Survivor Series since he knows what Triple H and Stephanie McMahon bring to the table.

Jericho sat in for Triple H and discussed many topics with WWE announcer Michael Cole in an interview that was recorded in Liverpool in the midst of the WWE's European tour.
Jericho said he was invited to work on the tour for the WWE to strengthen the shows and that he was excited to be a part of the European tour before his hiatus. He also discussed the success of his band Fozzy and the upcoming tour in the United States that starts on Nov. 20.

Jericho also talked about the social media impact on his new book and its success.
Getting back to wrestling, "Y2J" touched on the Team Authority vs. Team Cena main event at Survivor Series on Nov. 23 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, drawing from his own experience in high-stakes traditional matches.
"It's huge because everything is on the line," Jericho said. "I remember the invasion show [Survivor Series 2001] that you mentioned, which was Team WWE vs. The Alliance and then the winner would take control of the entire company. So there's a lot at stake, it's not just another match. Sometimes even if it's for a title, you win [or] you lose the title, well you get another chance to win it back. This is not the case, it's kind of all or nothing. And I know in the invasion pay-per-view I think I was having some issues with The Rock. I turned on Team WWE just to get to The Rock. There's so much at stake. Just the fact that I took my own selfish wants and desires over the top of the whole company. But that's part of what we do here in the WWE."
Jericho even brought Ryback's recent progression on WWE television as how things can change in an instant.
"There's always underlying tension between everything even with Ryback," Jericho said. "We see him on RAW the other night. He beats up Cena, then he beats up the Authority. Okay, great, well whose side is he on and can you trust him? Can you trust anybody? And if somebody turns on you or does the wrong thing or screws up, the entire company goes down, all your power goes down. Same thing happened with the Bischoff-"Stone Cold" Steve Austin match that we had [at Survivor Series 2003]. Steve's team lost and Bischoff was the GM, which was not good for the entire company. So it's more than just a match, an entire movement can happen. A whole new attitude for the whole business is at stake here."
Regarding that match, the WWE has officially removed Ryback (teased face turn) from Team Authority and Jack Swagger (storyline injury) from Team Cena.
Both teams now need one more person on their squads as Team Cena consists of captain John Cena, Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and The Big Show while Team Authority has captain Seth Rollins, Corporate Kane, Rusev and Mark Henry.
It is likely that Luke Harper is joining Team Authority based on the ending to Monday Night RAW while Ryback is likely to now join Team Cena.
Lastly, Jericho, who will interview The Authority on "The Highlight Reel" this week on SmackDown weighed in on who he wants to see win the Survivor Series match.
"I mean who do I want to win? I think the response that you would expect is I would say Team Cena," Jericho said. "My concern is I don't know who takes over if Team Cena wins. I don't want John Cena running the WWE. So I know what I've got with Hunter and with Stephanie and okay sometimes they make decisions that are very selfish, but they're also two very powerful people that have been in the business for years. Stephanie is a third generation executive and Triple H has been here since 1994 or whatever it is [and] kind of studied at the right hand of Vince McMahon. So as much as I hope that they don't get out of control, I still don't want them to lose power. Because like I said if Team Cena wins, I don't know who takes over. It's better to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. At least I know what I'm dealing with [with] The Authority and with Stephanie and Hunter. I don't know what I'm dealing with if Cena wins."
