The tennis season may have come to a close, but Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki are still making news this week after posting some selfies online showing off their beach bodies. The two are good friends off the court, and recently took a trip together to a resort in the Bahamas, and that is when the selfies appeared.
Williams-Wozniacki Rivalry Straining Friendship?
Serena has previously indicated that she is currently single and unhappy about it because she hopes to one day have a family and children. Wozniacki is also currently single; she was engaged to star golfer Rory McIlroy earlier this year, but the couple split shortly after sending out wedding invitations. McIlroy went on to win the British Open and PGA Championship, taking half of golf's majors for the 2014 season.
Wozniacki only netted a runner up finish in the final grand slam of the year (losing out to Serena in the U.S. Open), but she certainly seems intent on winning the off-season. Perhaps she and Williams are staging another competition between themselves to see who can land a relationship first; they'll certainly have plenty of suitors after these selfies.
Wozniacki Over McIlroy After NYC Marathon?
Regardless of the motives behind the selfies that Williams and Wozniacki posted, it certainly seems like they are enjoying the break before the 2015 tennis season gets underway. And if they really are looking for new boyfriends, then they certainly know how to market themselves. After all, a bikini-clad selfie from a stunning tennis player is enough to earn a second glance from almost anyone.
