WWE Rumors: Cesaro Possibly Being Held Down Due To Comments About John Cena vs. Randy Orton [VIDEO]

There may be more to Cesaro losing two straight falls to Dolph Ziggler at Hell in a Cell than meets the eye as there is some belief that comments Cesaro made about the John Cena vs. Randy Orton cell match may have led to his downfall.

Cesaro was booked to face Ziggler in a two out of three falls match at the WWE's Oct. 26 pay-per-view event and WWE Network special from the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Cesaro lost two straight falls in the match and Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that it could be due to his comments about the Cena vs. Orton match.

Cesaro criticized the Orton vs. Cena match during an interview with The Liverpool Echo due to the fact that the two have already faced each other several times and there are many different matches the WWE could have gone with.

"It is a new era of guys, it's a new generation, and it's a lot of fun to watch that because there are fresh matchups," Cesaro told the publication. "I mean I'm sick of seeing John Cena against Randy Orton for the 500th time. It's great that we have some new, young guys that can come out and provide absolutely great matchups and for the fans there are fresh, exciting matches and things to watch."

Cesaro was booked to lose to Ziggler via a roll up and the Zig Zag without getting a fall of his own at the event while Cena went on to overcome Orton in the cell match to become No. 1 contender for Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Cesaro has seemed to fall out of favor with the WWE as it appeared as though he was getting a monster push after winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX, but things have since stalled.

The comments he made to The Liverpool Echo didn't help his cause and there is some speculation backstage that he was booked to lose decidedly to Ziggler because of them. There is also some belief that Cesaro didn't get heat for the comments and they were taken out of context.

Cesaro was also the recipient of a beat down during his Trick or Street Fight match against Dean Ambrose on SmackDown, but a WWE source noted it wasn't due to any punishment stemming from his comments.

Still, it appears that Cesaro's momentum he built up from WrestleMania is all but lost.
