Lolo Jones Sympathizes With Oscar Pistorius; Confessed That Her Dad Was in Prison for Murder [VIDEO]

Love her or hate her, but give Lolo Jones credit for saying what's on her mind.

TMZ Sports caught up with the Summer Olympics hurdler/Winter Olympics bobsled push athlete as she was walking through an airport on Thursday.

Russell Wilson, Lolo Jones get cozy at the ESPYs?

The topic of conversation was Oscar Pistorius' five-year prison sentence on the culpable homicide charge for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine's Day morning in 2013. Jones, one of the more visible female athletes of this generation, surely has an opinion that is valued.

And she didn't disappoint coming up with a unique answer.

Lolo Jones laments the loss of her bobsled butt in training for hurdles

"I actually have a dad who was in prison for murder," she told TMZ while walking throug Los Angeles International Airport. "He served a life sentence but got out for good parole.

"I'm one of the most non-judgmental people on people who are struggling or having crime. There's two sides to a story. It's really tough because I know you have on one hand the family (of Steenkamp) who is suffering, and then you have Oscar as well.

"It's in God's hands," Jones continued. "For me as a Christian, God is my ultimate judge. I don't know all the details so I can't make a proper statement, so you just have to keep the family in your prayers for sure because they lost their daughter. And you have to keep Oscar in your prayers to make sure that in prison, he rehabs and has good counseling."

Jones could be forgiven for missing at least the drama surrounding the sentencing of Pistorius. She spent a week in the Philippines earlier this month working for "One Child Matters," a global non-profit Christian organization that provides essential services and items in developing nations and raising awareness about children and families in need of continued support, according to thepostgame.com.

She helped put on a sports carnival in Poog, a rural area of the Philippines and posted photos on her Twitter account to document her work.
