The challenges do not stop for the No. 9 TCU Horned Frogs as they travel to the No. 5 Baylor Bears a week after knocking off then-ranked No. 4 Oklahoma.
TCU coach Gary Patterson spoke about the challenge at hand and said that in this league you have to win these type of games to be a champion. It is just another challenge in the road for the Horned Frogs.
"If you want to win championships, you've got to play the best," Patterson said. "The Oklahoma game was a big win. But that's why you saw me in my press conference, even in the locker room. I just kind of really (said), 'Hey look. I understand what we just got done and accomplished, and we'll look back on this. But you have maybe, you have a better football team that you have to play next week.”
Both teams come into this game undefeated, but it is the Bears that are looking for their first impact victory that will impress the college football selection committee. The Bears have not played a ranked opponent yet this season and No. 9 TCU is their first test. Baylor will face four ranked opponents in the seven weeks as they look to build on their 5-0 record.
The all-time series between these two teams is all tied up at 51-51-2. The teams have split their last 10 meetings and Baylor came away with the victory last season by the score of 41-38.
