Steve "Sting" Borden will be in the WWE 2K15 video game for those who pre-order it and Stephanie McMahon recently praised his involvement in the game while hinting that something could happen down the line with Sting wrestling for the WWE.
McMahon was promoting the video game in a video and she discussed Sting being involved in the game while also mentioning that something could happen down the line with Sting appearing in a WWE ring for the first time in his career.
"One of the greatest Superstars of all time to never grace the WWE ring was Sting," McMahon said about the former WCW and TNA icon. "All I can say is that I'm thrilled to have him [be] a part of WWE 2K15 and who knows what the future holds?"
Sting has finally joined the WWE family with the video game and other merchandise, but he remains as the one former huge WCW main event wrestler that the WWE has failed to bring in for a match despite years of negotiations.
Sting said since signing on to be more involved with the WWE that he is hopeful to have a match at WrestleMania 31 against The Undertaker. The Undertaker's career is up in the air after he was injured and lost The Streak to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 in April, but he recently said at a charity run that he was open to a return.
Sting also said he'd be willing to face Triple H, but it appears as though "The Game" may battle Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on March 29, 2015.
McMahon promoted the game as something the WWE Universe will love.
"The WWE 2K15 game is truly remarkable and because of its attention to detail, because of the authenticity of the graphics, of the storylines I believe it represents the WWE Universe impeccably," McMahon said. "The WWE's gaming audience is a crucial part of the WWE Universe. What we all share at our core is our love of WWE storylines and content, and this is one incredibly unique way to present it, play it, re-live it and create it."
