Adrian Peterson [Arrest]: Minnesota Vikings Running Back Admits To Smoking 'Weed,' Prosecutors Seek Rearrest [VIDEO]

Prosecutors in Montgomery County Texas filed paperwork requesting the arrest of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson. The action was taken after Peterson admitted Wednesday to smoking marijuana before taking a drug test.

Peterson, currently free on $15,000 bond, is tentatively scheduled to appear in court Dec. 1 on charges of felony assault. He is accused of hitting his 4-year-old son with a switch earlier this year.

If convicted, the 30-year-old Peterson faces up to two years in prison.

He is currently on the NFL's exempt/commissioner's permission list. While Peterson is receiving his $11.75 million salary, he is not eligible to participate in any team-related activities.
