TNA Wrestling News And Rumors: Company Having Trouble With Television Negotiations [VIDEO]

TNA Wrestling is having some trouble landing a television deal with a new network due to the fact that Spike TV dropping Impact Wrestling makes the company's flagship program seem like an unwanted product.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that networks are leery on the TNA product due to the fact that it has the negative stigma of being a product that TNA dropped from its network.

Many channels are cautious in getting involved with pro wrestling these days, but Spike TV dropping the program makes things even harder for TNA.

According to the report, TNA's ratings weren't bad for Impact Wrestling, but a lot of networks believe there is some sort of catch due to the fact that Spike is dropping a television show that nets 1-1.4 million viewers per week.

It was revealed over the summer that Spike TV intended to drop Impact Wrestling from its schedule this month when the deal between the two expired, but the network opted to be a good partner and stick with TNA through the rest of 2014 while it searches for a new home for the flagship show.

Per the new report, word from the television industry is that Spike TV is dropping Impact Wrestling because the network doesn't have confidence in TNA's leadership to grow the company.

There are reports that though he ratings are good for TNA, the numbers were declining at the time Spike TV made its decision to drop the company from its network while the whole Vince Russo issue was also a deal-breaker for the network, despite what it says publicly.

While there appears to be a negative stigma around TNA, there have been reports of serious discussions with the company and multiple networks, though no deal is in place yet with any of them.
