Kansas City Royals Rumors: 1B Eric Hosmer Picks Up Bar Tab For Fans During Celebration Of Trip To ALCS [VIDEO]

The Kansas City Royals are no strangers to celebrating, having popped champagne for the third time this season following a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels in the American League Division Series, and first baseman Eric Hosmer wanted to team's loyal fan base to get in on the fun.

The Royals are the toast of the town having popped champagne at the conclusion of the regular season for clinching a playoff berth for the first time in 29 years.

The team took it a step further by celebrating again after a 9-8 victory over the Oakland Athletics in the AL Wild-Card Game and then another party culminated the team completing a three-game sweep of the Angels in the ALDS at Kauffmann Stadium on Sunday.

This time around, Hosmer invited the long-suffering fans of the franchise to celebrate the Royals' success at a McFadden's pub just 10 minutes west from Kauffmann Stadium.

According to ESPN, Hosmer and several teammates showed up to the Irish bar in Kansas City's Power & Light District after the Royals' 8-3 Game 3 victory over the Angels and picked up the tab for everyone in attendance for the last hour of the night.

Per the report, when all was said and done, Hosmer dropped $3,000 on the bar tab while his teammates shared a $12,000 bill.

Hosmer has made the most of his first trip to the postseason as he got on base five times during the team's wild-card win and hit a game-winning homer in ALDS Game 2 against the Angels. Hosmer, 24, is hitting .500 (7-for-14) in these playoffs with two homers and five RBI.

The Royals now turn their attention to the Baltimore Orioles and the best-of-seven American League Championship Series that kicks off Friday at Camden Yards.

Hosmer and the Royals are hopeful more celebrating will follow that series.
