Holly Holm Next Fight: Holm to Make Her Highly-Anticipated Debut in December at UFC 181? [VIDEO]

After Holly Holm signed with the UFC earlier this summer, fans have eagerly awaited the debut of the former world boxing champion. They may not have to wait much longer, as reports say Holm is in talks to compete in December.

Georges St. Pierre Refutes Report Claiming He Will Return to UFC

According to MMAFighting.com, UFC Tonight reported that Holm is being discussed to fight at UFC 181 on Dec. 6. Though nothing is official yet, the report says the UFC is hoping to pit Holm against Russian fighter Milena Dudieva.

The fight would likely take place as part of the FOX Sports 1 prelims. Raquel Pennington has also been discussed as a potential opponent for Holm, according to the report. Whatever the case, if either fight is made Holm would get the low-profile bout she was hoping for.

UFC Lightweight Champ Anthony Pettis Predicts First-Round Finish Against Gilbert Melendez

Instead of coming after UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey upon her signing, Holm said she prefers to "get her feet wet" with a few tune-up fights before stepping up to contend for the title. It's an interesting approach for the highly touted newcomer whose boxing skills could pose probelms for Rousey during standup activity.

Holm was an 18-time boxing champion, winning the WBF female, IBF female, and WBAN welterweight titles. Ranked 15th in the 135-pound division by the UFC, she is currently 7-0 in MMA with her last victory coming by fifth-round TKO at Legacy 30 in April.

Dudieva is coming off a hard-fought split decision win over Elizabeth Phillips in her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China. She's currently on a three-fight win streak, but she not currently ranked in the UFC women's bantamweight division.
