Brett Favre Shaves Off His Santa Claus-on-Steroids Beard for Endorsement Deal [VIDEO]

Brett Favre traded in his Santa-on-steroids look for a few dollars.

Nextimpulsesports.com is reporting that the former Green Bay Packers quarterback, who was last seen sporting a Santa Claus-in-training (with the facial hair as well as with the muscle tone), has signed a deal with MicroTouch personal trimmers.

St. Louis Rams says plan to call Brett Favre was a joke

And in the advertisement, Favre gets rid of his attention-grabbing beard.

Last season, the St. Louis Rams reportedly were interested in signing Favre out of retirement to replace injured Sam Bradford, a claim they later denied.

Brett Favre credits his "Grizzly Adams" look on his devotion to his family

Favre, however, said he would have considered the offer but had suffered multiple concussions that made it impossible for him to think about a return, then at age 44.

Bustedcoverage.com was one of the first online sites to post a photo of Favre in his hairy glory at a GoDaddy.com Bowl function in January. Several other sites threw in their opinions, calling Favre a Greek god, "Grizzly Adams" and an actor making a sequel to the Sylvester Stallone arm-wrestling movie, "Over the Top."

Nextimpulsesports.com speculated that Favre's plan all along was to grow the beard to land an endorsement deal. Of course, that required Favre to shave nose and ear hair in the commercial.

Favre's next move could be a skit on Saturday Night Live, nextimpulsesports.com stated. But at least he's still showing off the guns that completed his Santa-on-steroids look that gained so much attention last winter.

And the clean-shaven Favre resembles the NFL quarterback we remember.
