Jaguars New Uniforms Photos: Nike Unveils New Jacksonville Jaguars Uniforms

Nike and the Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Tuesday that the team will have new uniforms for the 2013 season. The Nike Elite 51 uniforms were officially unveiled to the public on Thursday afternoon at Nike headquarters.

The new uniforms include a font change and a patch that says "Jags" over the heart, a tribute to Jacksonville having the third-largest military training grounds in the United States. The team is also unveiling a new logo and a new-look helmet.

"This is a jaguar on the hunt," Todd Van Horne, Nike's vice president and creative director for football, said of the team's new look.

Nike is also offering players an integrated system that includes a new sock design and shoes for players endorsed by the company. The new apparel that goes under the uniform is said to be lighter and stronger than previously.

The change to the Jaguars uniforms is the lasted change owner Shahid Khan has made since taking over the team in January 2012. He revamped the locker room and training room, installed massive video boards, hired a new general manager (Dave Caldwell) and a new head coach (Gus Bradley) before unveiling a new logo a few months ago.
