CARDINALS vs DIAMONDBACKS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from ARIZONA

Tonight at 9:40 p.m. ET, the St. Louis Cardinals (88-71) and Arizona Cardinals (63-96) open up a three-game set to close out the regular season. The game can be live streamed for free here. St. Louis fans can hear all of the action on KMOX 1120 while Arizona fans can do the same on Arizona Sports 98.7.

St. Louis is looking to keep pace in the National League Central and hopes to clinch the division this season for the second straight campaign as the Pittsburgh Pirates trail them for one game while Arizona looks to play spoiler as it is eliminated from playoff contention and has the worst record in the MLB.

The Cardinals are continuing a six-game road trip after dropping two of three to the Chicago Cubs while the Diamondbacks return home for a three-game set to close the season after losing six of seven games on their recent road trip.

Michael Wacha (5-6, 3.18 ERA) takes the mound for St. Louis while Arizona counters with Trevor Cahill, who is 3-12 with a 5.55 ERA.

The Cardinals didn't get any help from the Atlanta Braves Wednesday as they fell to the Pirates.

"I actually didn't even know who won that game until after ours was over," Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said per MLB.com. "I'm tired of looking up there, waiting for someone else to help us. Nobody has helped us all season long."

St. Louis' lineup is flanked by first baseman Matt Adams, who has a team-best .286 batting average and ranks third on the club with 15 homers and 68 RBI.

Cahill is coming off of a start against the Colorado Rockies where he gave up five runs in five innings, but walked no one for the first time since July.

"I felt a lot better," Cahill told MLB.com afterward. "Obviously, the results weren't there. But as far as everything else, I felt a lot better. It's just really frustrating. You give up five runs in five innings and you feel like you had better control of the game. I felt like it was one of my better games."

With Paul Goldschmidt (hand) out for the season, Miguel Montero has flanked Arizona's lineup as he leads the team's active players with a .244 batting average, 13 homers and 71 RBI.

The Cardinals look to inch closer to a division crown while the Diamondbacks hope to play spoiler when these teams take the field tonight at Chase Field in Arizona.
