WWE Rumors: Backstage News On Power Struggle Between Stephanie McMahon, Triple H And Other Execs [VIDEO]

There is reportedly a power struggle backstage within WWE between husband and wife duo Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and some other WWE executives.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Not Slated For Hell in a Cell

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there has been talk within the WWE about Triple H and McMahon being on one side of a power struggle that has Chief Strategy and Financial Officer George Barrios and Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer Michelle Wilson on the other side.

Barrios and Wilson are reportedly the ones that were put behind the WWE Network launch and WWE's much maligned new television deal. Both of those projects ended up being underwhelming and cost WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon a lot of money.

Should Sting Wrestle More Than One WWE Match?

The failures of both of these projects contributed to the WWE making budget cuts throughout the company and releasing may of its employees. Both the Network and television deal were nowhere near as successful as the company had hoped for.

Regarding creative decisions, the site reports that Vince McMahon had to make several changes to the Monday Night RAW script due to the fact that Roman Reigns was injured and the company had to alter storylines.

There have been reports that McMahon started making changes at 6:40 p.m. ET, and the show's script wasn't completely finished when the program came on at 8 p.m.

Vince McMahon reportedly also has a rule regarding the E! reality show Total Divas where he doesn't want any of the actresses on the show to be the WWE Divas Champion. This explains why A.J. Lee and Paige have juggled the title back and forth since the night after WrestleMania and aren't on the show.

McMahon's rule is said to not be steadfast and could change from time to time. A similar rule, according to the report, is that McMahon sometimes wants the storylines in WWE to sync with the ones on Total Divas despite the reality show being taped so far in advance, which frustrates his writers.

It is also said that McMahon goes back and forth on that rule as well.

While the WWE continues to build toward its next WWE Network special Hell in a Cell on Oct. 26, there appears to be a struggle for power going on behind the scenes.
