Miami Dolphins Rumors: Ryan Tannehill Unhappy With Joe Philbin, Lack of Support [VIDEO]

Ryan Tannehill has yet to be named the Miami Dolphins starting quarterback this week and the former first-round pick isn't happy with the lack of support he is getting from coach Joe Philbin.

Tannehill spoke to the media on Wednesday and said he wishes the team would have handled the situation better and kept him in the loop.

"Obviously, it doesn't feel good," Tannehill said of how Philbin publicly handled the quarterback questions. "It creates a bunch of stir [and] a bunch of distraction in the locker room -- mostly from the outside coming in and guys having to deal with the distraction of it. So it's not a good feeling."

"I asked him what his reason was; you're going to have to get that from him," Tannehill said. "He has his reasons. Honestly, yes [I wished he handled it differently]. Does it feel good to deal with all the distractions that have been created with the situation? No. But that's life.”

Many Dolphins players said on Wednesday that they were told Tannehill will start for the Dolphins going forward and that backup quarterback Matt Moore had not received any practice time with the starters.

Tannehill is 16-19 as the starter of the Dolphins and the team stands at 1-2 after losing 34-15 to Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Tannehill has thrown for 624 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in three games and is on pace to set career lows in completion percentage (56.5) and passer rating (74.1).
