The Miami Dolphins coaching staff are meeting this week concerning quarterback Ryan Tannehill and his status as the starter going forward.
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins coaching staff will meet to determine if Tannehill will be the team’s starting quarterback going forward or will turn to backup Matt Moore. Coach Joe Philbin avoided direct questions concerning Tannehill, but said that the staff is looking into playing the best players on the team.

"We're going to choose the best 46 guys we think will help us win a football game and we're going to go from there," Philbin said.
“I’m going to stick with the answer that I’ve given," Philbin said. "That’s what I’ve done since I’ve gotten here and that’s the answer I’m sticking to.”
This is Tannehill’s third season in the NFL since being drafted No. 8 overall by the Dolphins out of Texas A&M in the 2012 NFL draft. Tannehill was the third quarterback off the board in 2012 after Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III and has never really gotten the attention as the other quarterbacks in his draft class.

The Dolphins sit at 1-2 on this young season and the case could be made that it isn't Tannehill’s fault for the most part. Tannehill has thrown for 624 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in three games, but his defense and battered offensive live haven't given him the best to succeed.
The Dolphins travel to London to play the 0-3 Oakland Raiders this weekend and it is not currently known if Tannehill will be under center. Tannehill is 16-19 as the starter of the Miami Dolphins.
