WWE Rumors: John Cena And Rusev Feud Could Be Planned By WWE [VIDEO]

Rusev has been built up as an unstoppable monster since his debut alongside Lana on WWE television, and he could be the next guy that John Cena feuds with once his program with Brock Lesnar runs its course.

Spoilers For Final SmackDown Before Night of Champions

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Rusev and Mark Henry closing out this week's go-home episode of Monday Night RAW before Sunday's Night of Champions could have something to do with the WWE preparing Rusev for a main event spotlight feud with Cena somewhere down the line.

Rusev, who is undefeated in the WWE, is slated to face Henry at the Night of Champions event this Sunday night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Cena, meanwhile, will battle Lesnar in a rematch from SummerSlam on Aug. 17 which saw Lesnar decimate Cena with 16 German suplexes en route to hitting the F-5 and becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Lesnar came to SummerSlam with plenty of momentum as he was fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX on April 6.

It remains to be seen if a Cena vs. Rusev feud will be for the title pending the finish to Night of Champions, but the potential clash is merely speculation at this point.

There have been rumors that Lesnar may be a part-time champion for the long haul and hold the belt all the way through WrestleMania 31 where he is rumored to drop the title to Roman Reigns.

It's been hard to tell what kind of deal Lesnar is signed to post-Night of Champions, so it is possible that Cena will go over him on Sunday night and Lesnar will eventually win the title back sometime around the Royal Rumble if the Lesnar vs. Reigns match is to come to fruition.

While it remains to be seen, there is a possibility that Rusev and Cena could be feuding over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship soon.
