Baltimore Ravens Rumors: Ray Rice Receiving Interest From Teams; Will See Neutral Arbitrator [VIDEO]

Ray Rice and the NFL Players Association have filed a formal appeal to the NFL concerning the running back's indefinite suspension from the league. If the suspension is reduced back to two games, there are already teams interested in signing Rice.

According to Bleacher Reports’ Jason Cole, teams are already doing their research on Rice and his situation and could look to sign the running back after he is reinstated.

Cole did not name the team he spoke to that is actively pursuing Rice, but he did say that several teams are interested in taking a chance on the controversial running back despite his domestic violence incident.

Many believed that Rice’s appeal was going to be heard by Roger Goodell, but the NFL commissioner put those rumors to bed early Wednesday by announcing that he “never intended” to hear the appeal and a neutral arbitrator will hear the case.

Rice was showing signs of decline before being suspended by the league indefinitely. He had his worst season in the NFL in 2013, totaling just 661 yards on 214 carries. Rice can still contribute to a team if he is reinstated, but his days as a three-down back could very well be over.
