The Kenny ‘Thrill’ Hill train makes it’s next stop against the Rice Owls as the Texas A&M Aggies look to go 3-0 on the young season.
Texas A&M is coming off two impressive wins against South Carolina and Lamar and have outscored the opponents 125-31 in that time. Coach Kevin Sumlin is thrilled to be 2-0, but said that the team isn’t playing the best football that they are capable of.
"I told them after the game: `That wasn't our best football. We could play better," he said. "We left some things on the table. We had some penalties that were needless. Turnovers."
"We didn't win the turnover battle and that can come back to haunt you against other competition," he said. "There are some things that we need to work on.”
Kenny Hill has thrown for 794 yards and seven touchdowns in two games and is looking to make his legend grow while advancing toward a Heisman Trophy.
Rice come sin 0-1 after a loss to Notre Dame during the first game of the season. This is the Owls second ranked opponent in two weeks and have lost 22 straight games to a Top 25 opponent since 1998. They haven't beaten a ranked team on the road since 1991.
Texas A&M beat Rice 52-31 last August and leads the all-time series 51-27-3 with a 16 game winning streak against the Owls.
