WWE Rumors: Backstage Updates On Chris Jericho And Christian [VIDEO]

There were rumors going around that Chris Jericho was injured on Monday Night RAW and they have since been dispelled while Christian's WWE status remains unclear.

Rumored Feud For Bray Wyatt And Upated NOC Card

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that initial rumors of Jericho breaking his toe during his Steel Cage Match with Bray Wyatt on Monday night were untrue while Christian has been ready to return for a while now but WWE officials have nothing for him creatively.

Jericho battled Wyatt on RAW in what was seen as the final blow off to the feud the two have been engaged in since Jericho returned on the June 30 edition of the company's flagship show. There were rumors that Jericho may have been legitimately injured after he jumped off of the top of the cage, but he is fine.

WWE Starts To Remove CM Punk Merch After Letter From His Lawyer

Jericho participated in the main event of this week's SmackDown tapings, teaming up with Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins and Randy Orton in a tag team match, showing he was fine. The full spoilers for Tuesday's tapings that are set to air on Friday can be viewed by clicking here.

With Jericho's feud with Wyatt now over, he has moved on to clash with Orton and it was revealed on Main Event Tuesday night that the two will do battle in a singles match at Night of Champions on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville in what will likely by the final match for "Y2J" on his current stint.

Jericho posted a video of him jumping off of the cage on his Instagram and commented on it:

Regarding Christian, he has been sidelined since March due to what was described as a mild concussion, but he hasn't been back since. The WWE reportedly has nothing for him to do creatively, so despite the fact that he is ready to return, the organization hasn't brought him back.

There have been talks in the past that Christian may phase out his in-ring work and begin to work backstage as an agent, so that is a possibility down the line.

As Jericho winds down his stint with the WWE, it seems as though Christian isn't going to factor into the storylines anytime soon.
