Don’t be fooled by the point spread, this game means a tremendous amount to the Alabama Crimson Tide and their hopes for a national championship.

Alabama defeated the West Virginia Mountaineers 33-23 in Week 1 behind quarterback Blake Sims, but that doesn’t mean the competition for the position is over. Coach Nick Saban said just because Sims started for the Tide last week, doesn't mean he couldn't make the change to Jake Coker.

"I still don't hesitate to say that there's a quarterback competition," Saban said. "In some way, we'll probably try to play both quarterbacks in this game. I don't know how and when I figure it out, I'm probably not going to tell the media.

"And I don't know that it's that important, to be honest with you," Saban added.

Sims had an average debut for the Tide as he went 24 of 33 passing for 250 yards with one interception in the victory. Coker was projected to win the competition outright in the offseason seeing how he was a Florida State transfer due to the emergence of Jameis Winston.

As for Florida Atlantic, give them a lot of credit for the schedule they make. The open up with No. 22 Nebraska and get throttled 55-7 and now they are heading to Alabama to play No. 2 Alabama. After this game it is all smooth sailing for the Owls as they don’t play another ranked opponent in 2014.
