Unemployment is an option wide receiver Josh Gordon isn't willing to explore. With professional football unavailable, Gordon is turning his attention to selling cars.

According to ESPN.com, Gordon, who is serving a one-year ban for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, has accepted a position as the goodwill ambassador for Sarchione Auto Group, which has offices in Randolph and Alliance, Ohio.

Gordon's actual job description isn't yet known, but he is expected to partake in showroom sales.

After an arbitrator upheld the NFL's season-long ban, Gordon hoped to land with an Canadian Football League team, but league rules prevent him from signing with any other professional football organization.

The also suspension effectively bans Gordon, a repeat violator of the league's drug policy, from participating in Browns meetings, practices or any other functions involving the team. He must participate in the NFL's substance-abuse treatment program, which requires counseling and submission to random drug testing.
