The Cleveland Browns named Brian Hoyer the starting quarterback, but coach Mike Pettine recently stated that the team has a two-quarterback package ‘on the table.’

During a conversation on SiriusXM NFL Radio, coach Pettine said that the team will ride out the season with Hoyer, but the team could turn to a two-quarterback system in the future.
"We could potentially look at a two-quarterback system down the road," Pettine said.
The Browns are the latest team to play around with a two-quarterback system and to this day no team has benefitted from the idea. An offensive program that includes a two-quarterback scheme robs the team of any chance of chemistry with the signal caller.

The New York Jets are the most recent team that attempted to play with two quarterbacks in the form of Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. Both players are no longer on the team and it nearly cost coach Rex Ryan his job.
The Browns open up their season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but do not expect the Browns to break out any formations that include two quarterbacks until the season starts to go south.
