CM Punk Retired: Jim Ross Believes AJ Lee Will Distance Herself From WWE Like Her Husband [VIDEO]

It was reported on Monday that AJ Lee may begin to distance herself from the WWE now that she dropped the Divas Championship to Paige at SummerSlam Sunday night, and Jim Ross foreshadowed this development on his recent podcast.

CM Punk Responds To Rumors On Twitter Of His Arrest

Ross appeared to have reason to believe that Lee would be leaving the WWE soon when he was making his SummerSlam predictions for Lee and Paige's match at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"I would predict Paige to regain the title and we see AJ Lee distance herself from the WWE...that's my guess," Ross said.

Bully Ray Reportedly Leaves TNA

There has been speculation that Lee may leave the WWE to be with her husband CM Punk, who walked out on the company in January. There have been reports that Lee may be looking to start a family after the two were married in mid-June.

Lee took time off from the company following WrestleMania XXX after dropping the belt to Paige, who was making her debut, on the April 7 edition of Monday Night RAW. Lee then returned to action on the June 30 edition of RAW and won the title back.

Lee took the time off to move in with Punk in Chicago after the two were engaged, and they tied the knot on June 13.

Paige picked up the win at SummerSlam Sunday to earn her second Divas Championship reign, and it seems as though Lee may join Punk in leaving the company and distancing herself from it.

Punk walked out on the WWE the day after January's Royal Rumble due to being burned out from traveling and unhappy with the way he was being booked.

Punk has said in recent interviews that he was "never ever" returning to the company while he did some work for Nerdist at Comic Con and said it was the "most fun he had in a long time" on Twitter.

The "Best in the World" walked out on the WWE in January, and now it seems as though his wife isn't far behind, though it remains to be seen.
