Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins injured his right knee Thursday during a Team USA scrimmage in Chicago. The seriousness of the injury is not yet known.
Cousins suffered the injury while going after a loose ball. He is not expected to play Saturday against Brazil, according to Team USA director Jerry Colangelo.

The scrimmage was Team USA's first since Aug. 1 when Indiana Pacers forward Paul George suffered an open tibia-fibula fracture during an intrasquad scrimmage in Las Vegas. George is likely to miss the entire 2014-2015 NBA season.
Cousins, who a 6-11, 270-pound presence near the basket, averaged 22.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks last season. All figures were career highs for Cousins.
