Tiger Woods Injury Update: Woods Arrives at Valhalla for PGA Championship; Will Test Back Injury in Practice Round [VIDEO]

Tiger Woods has arrived at Valhalla for the PGA Championship after mixed reports of the star golfers status for the major tournament.

Woods pulled up to the golf course around About 1:15 p.m. EDT and said that he is going to attempt to play just days after exiting the Firestone Open with a back injury. Woods is only three tournaments into his return from back surgery and believes he can test the course with no limitations.

According to Fox Sports, this is the latest Tiger has ever arrived at a major and this is his first time on Valhalla since winning the PGA Championship in 2000 and he missed the course in the 2008 Ryder Cup due to his reconstructive knee surgery.

Woods is expected to finish a practice round Wednesday and make a final decision on his status for the weekend. Woods has to win the PGA Championship in order to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Woods enters the PGA Championship as a 40-to-1 underdog which replaces his previous high for a major of 25-to-1. Woods has won the PGA Championship four times and is set to tee off at 8:35 a.m. with Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson.
