Real Madrid Transfer News: Iker Casillas Offered £100,000 A Week By Arsenal, Keylor Navas Signs 5-year Contract

The latest Real Madrid transfer target has finally agreed to terms, with Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas slated to sign a five-year deal with the club. Earlier reports had the 27-year-old on the cusp of completing a move, but admittedly nothing had been agreed upon.

"I haven't signed anything with anyone yet," he said (via Marca). "I'm relaxed at the moment and I'm waiting. But we're on track."

With Navas' arrival, Real Madrid now have three shot stoppers more than capable of lining up between the posts. Unfortunately for the club, three is one too many. Per Marca, the club is still in the process of trying to offload the services of Diego Lopez. AS Monaco was said to be the ideal destination. Lopez, however, isn't interested in a move of any kind and is adamant about retaining his position in the Spanish capital.

The same cannot be said for Iker Casillas.

The 33-year-old captain has been heavily linked with a transfer to English outfit Arsenal in recent months. Now, the latest reports have the Gunners offering a deal worth £100,000 a week for the next five years (via Sport). The one condition the club carries is that Casillas' contract is terminated and he's allowed to arrive in London on a free transfer.

After spending his entire youth and professional career in Madrid, don't expect president Florentino Perez to allow him to walk for zero compensation.

As the old adage goes: Three's a crowd. That will now be the case at the Santiago Bernabeu with Navas' imminent arrival.
