Now that CM Punk is no longer under contract with the WWE due to his deal expiring last week, there is said to be a lot of tension between the company and the "Best in the World."

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE officials are not happy with Punk after everything that went down between them leading up to his departure last week. The report indicates that there are several issues between the two sides and the way things left off between them.

It appeared as though Punk exited and everything went smooth as the WWE quietly moved him from the active roster to the alumni section on WWE.com and Punk tweeted to thank his fans, however that is not the case and the WWE doesn't see it as a smooth exit.

Rumored Matches For WWE SummerSlam

Punk left the WWE in January despite being under contract through July and the WWE hasn't taken any legal action against him for breaking his contract, but the company could end up deciding to sue him for breach of contract now that the deal is officially over.

Punk walked out due to being frustrated and burned out from the rigorous travel schedule prior to a live Monday Night RAW taping the night after the Royal Rumble and hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since. Punk has made several public appearances on television and at Chicago sporting events, but has missed every WWE event since walking out.

There was speculation that Punk may come back after he married WWE Diva AJ Lee, but that seems like a long-shot now that both sides have ill feelings toward each other.

Punk hindered the chances of a WWE return even further when he appeared at the AP Music Awards on Monday and told CBS Cleveland that he has no plans to return to the ring.

"No, no. No. Never, ever. Never, ever, ever," Punk told the affiliate about a possible return. "They're going to go crazy about that on Twitter, they're going to hold me to it and yeah, whatever."

Punk is done with the WWE, but it doesn't mean that all is forgiven from both sides.
