Ronda Rousey Next Fight: Amanda Nunes '100 Percent' Sure She Can Upset Rousey After UFC 178 Bout vs. Cat Zingano [VIDEO]

Amanda "The Lioness" Nunes has been given an opportunity to vault herself into the UFC women's bantamweight title picture at UFC 178, where she will take on undefeated (8-0-0) Cat Zingano. After that, Nunes is "100 percent" sure she can take out the reigning champion Ronda Rousey.

Holly Holm in mix for Rousey fight

Zingano was a frontrunner to take on Rousey, but a knee injury has kept her out of action since April 2013; the last time fight fans saw Zingano in action she was knocking off Miesha Tate by TKO. With a win, she'll likely get her shot at the champ, but Nunes' camp is planning to derail that momentum.

"When I started working with her, the things she told me were most important to her were fighting Ronda Rousey and being a world champion," Nunes' manager and former UFC middleweight Charles McCarthy said. "We started to look at, what's going to be the fight that helps her get there? I reached out to the UFC, they were happy about that Cat Zingano matchup, and it worked out for us. The timing is absolutely perfect."

McCarthy is very confident that Nunes will take Zingano out, even telling MMAJunkies.com how the fight will play out. "I think Cat's going to get hit in the face a few times and she's going to try to take Amanda down," McCarthy said. "I feel very confident that she'll get TKO'd in the second round."

Nunes is equally confident of her chances after Zingano as well against Rousey, who, at the moment, appears nearly invincible. "I think for sure, 100 percent, I beat Ronda Rousey after this fight with Cat," Nunes said.

"We wait for these moments. You can show that you're prepared for the title only if you get these very big opportunities. I'm ready."
