Sting WWE Rumors: Update On Steve Borden's Twitter Tease [VIDEO]

Rumors swirled last week when Steve "Sting" Borden tweeted a picture of himself in black and white face paint followed by tonight's date, that he'd make his long awaited WWE debut on tonight's Monday Night RAW, but it is now unlikely.

After Sting sent out the tweets, it was speculated he may appear at RAW at the Richmond Coliseum tonight in Virginia, but the speculation quickly died down when reports surfaced that he was either hinting at his inclusion in WWE 2K15 or that he was set to promote the WWE's Great American Bash DVD that comes out on Tuesday.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is expected to either be a video released Monday either on the internet or on RAW featuring Sting announcing that he will be in the WWE 2K15 video game.

Ronda Rousey Unlikely To Appear At SummerSlam

It was rumored that Sting would debut and face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 in New Orleans, but despite the fact that Sting wanted to work with The Undertaker, the company dragged its feet in signing him and considered it a low-priority.

Brock Lesnar ended up taking on The Undertaker and ending The Streak and injuring him in real life, leading to speculation that his career may be over.

Sting currently has a WWE contract in his possession but has for whatever reason taken his time in signing it, so it is unknown when he will officially join the company.

There were rumors that the former WCW and TNA icon would face The Undertaker next March at WrestleMania 31, but with The Undertaker's status up in the air it is doubtful. The Undertaker reportedly told friends that he was looking doubtful for an appearance at the event next year at Levi's Stadium.

Sting stands as the one former WCW main eventer that the WWE and CEO Vince McMahon have failed to sign despite the fact that they've come close to landing him many times.

There were reports that Sting will sign a deal, be inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame and then have one final match at WrestleMania 31, but that remains to be seen.

It is doubtful that Sting will debut in the WWE on Monday Night RAW, but the WWE may very well pull off a surprise.
