Daniel Bryan Injury Update: Bryan May Undergo Shoulder Surgery, No Timetable For His WWE Return [VIDEO]

WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has been out the last couple of months after undergoing surgery on his neck, and now it seems as though another procedure may be required -- this time on his shoulder.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Bryan may now need shoulder surgery since he hasn't regained full feeling in his arms following neck surgery he had in mid-May.

The report indicates that a full exam on Bryan recently revealed that he has a lot of shoulder and neck issues that will likely need to be surgically repaired. Since his condition remains uncertain, the WWE has kept Bryan out of all future plans and there is no internal estimate on when he'll be fit to return to the squared circle.

Ric Flair Expected To Return On Monday's RAW

It has been noted that Bryan is expected to tone down his risky in-ring style as years of wear-and-tear that he's put on his body through the years led to the injury.. Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on April 6 at WrestleMania XXX but the plans for his title run were cut short when the injury was revealed in May.

Bryan was slated to face Kane at Extreme Rules in a Buried Alive match and then to face him at Money in the Bank in a Stretcher Match, but the WWE had to cancel the plans when it was revealed that Bryan still wasn't ready to return to action.

Bryan was also rumored to be slated to face Brock Lesnar at the WWE's big SummerSlam pay-per-view on Aug. 17, but that will now not be the case.

The WWE opted to not have a WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules on June 1 in order to give Bryan some time to evaluate the injury, and then once the prognosis wasn't good the WWE opted to strip him of the belt and put it up for grabs in an eight-man Money in the Bank Ladder Match on June 29.

John Cena won the Ladder Match and the title while Bryan appeared on the pre-show and said that he had bad news and his condition has worsened, while he also vowed to return better than ever.

Now it appears that Cena and Lesnar will headline SummerSlam and Bryan may not even be ready to get back to action at all this summer.

The full status of Bryan is unknown at this time, but he may in fact need another surgery and could be missing from the WWE for a long time.
