Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Amir Khan vs. Pacman A 50-50 Bout? [VIDEO]

Amir Khan has finally put back-to-back losses to Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson to bed with three victories in his last three fights, the most recent one being a total domination of Luis Collazo on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s fight with Marcos Maidana.

Khan has itched for a Mayweather fight for a long time, but won't be getting one soon; Floyd's next fight is in September, and Khan can't train for that date because of Ramadan. So, he's set his sights on getting in the ring with Manny Pacquiao, and even called it a 50-50 bout.

Freddie Roach prefers Danny Garcia to Khan

"Manny has big problems with good boxers. I know because I've sparred with him myself," Khan said. "He has problems with a good boxer who has a very good jab, and who moves great. I'm very big for the weight, because I'm tall, a lot taller than Manny Pacquiao. We've got power as well at this weight. Manny Pacquiao is a southpaw, and I can deal with southpaws. It would be a good 50-50 fight."

Pacquiao vs. Khan makes sense from a financial standpoint; unlike Danny Garcia, whom Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach has brought up as a potential opponent, Khan has a huge British fan base and bankable name. What he no longer has, according to Roach, is an entertaining style.

Khan sure Mayweather fight will happen 'one day'

"He [Khan] throws combinations and holds now, it's so boring," Roach said. "It's smart but not fun to watch, I don't want to stink the place out." Still, Garcia needs to build buzz back after a lukewarm matchup in Puerto Rico with Mauricio Herrera that some observers felt he lost.

Khan points to some rich storylines between he and Pacquiao as additional reasons a fight works. "What a great story line it would make [Khan vs. Pacquiao]," Khan said. "We used to spar together, we had the same trainer, and there is a lot of history there. A little more technical and more defensive. Before I was just like Manny Pacquiao, all offense."
