Carmelo Anthony is expected to meet with at least five different teams this summer in deciding where he will play next season.
ESPN.com reported the NBA's second leading scorer will grant pitch meetings to the Knicks, Bulls, Lakers, Rockets and Mavericks after he formally becomes a free agent on July 1.
Several media outlets have speculated if the 30-year-old Anthony actually decides to leave Phil Jackson and the Knicks, Chicago stands the best chance of landing him.
In addition, the Lakers are thought to be the only team currently with enough money under the salary cap to sign Anthony, while the Rockets have expressed a willingness to deal veterans Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik to create enough flexibility to sign Anthony.
Bulls, Rockets have best chances of landing Anthony?
Meanwhile, the Mavs are also expected to go through with their plans to meet with Anthony, even though star forward Dirk Nowitzki recently told reporters Dallas' chances of landing Anthony are "not really" realistic.
"Carmelo loves being a Knick, he loves the city and he loves the fans," agent Leon Rose told ESPN. "At this stage of his career, he just wants to explore his options."
On Monday, Anthony told ESPN of his three seasons of being a Knick, "my son goes to school in New York. He loves it here. To take him out and take him somewhere else, he has to learn that system all over again, he has to get new friends. And I know how hard it was for me when I moved from New York to Baltimore at a young age. Having to work your way to try to make friends."
