Both teams enter today's match with the possibility of seeing tournament dreams come to an end. For Uruguay, a victory will be needed. For Italy, a draw will suffice. But for Uruguay substitute Alvaro Gonzalez, the objective is to remain in Brazil as long as possible.

"We want to stay in Brazil as long as possible," Gonzalez said (via FIFA). "Four years ago we played in the match for third place, but now we're aiming for the final. That's our dream and we don't want to stop dreaming yet," he added.

"If you dream and believe, then that can push you to do great things. We believe we can make it."

Tactical Preview

Player to Watch: Against England, Andrea Pirlo was a catalyst in the midfield, creating chances for the Azzurri at will. Against Costa Rica, he was squeezed out of the midfield. It's no coincidence that one match resulted in a win, while the other was an abject failure. He'll look to be the key to success against Uruguay this afternoon.

Italy's Projected Lineup (3-5-2): Buffon; Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli; Sciglio, Marchisio, Pirlo, Verratti, Darmian; Immobile, Balotelli

Uruguay's Projected Lineup (4-3-1-2): Muslera; Pereira, Godin, Gimenez, Caceres; Rodriguez, Rios, Gonzalez; Lodeiro; Cavani, Suarez
