Today at 1:10 p.m. ET, the New York Mets (34-41) and Miami Marlins (37-37) take the field for the final game of a four-game set live from Marlins Park in Miami. New York finishes up a seven-game road trip it is currently 3-3 on while Miami finishes up a 10-game homestand it is 6-3 on. The Mets have blanked the Marlins twice in the series with a 1-0 win on Thursday and a 3-0 triumph on Saturday while the Marlins took a 3-2 victory Friday night.

Jon Niese (3-4, 2.67 ERA) takes the ball for the Mets while Anthony DeSclafani counters for the Marlins and is 1-1 with a 5.60 ERA.

DeSclafini is hoping for a consistent start.

"I want to be consistent," DeSclafani said via MLB.com. "Keep my team in the game and give the team a chance to win."

Niese is hoping that he can pitch better than he has coming into the game.

"I feel like I've been pitching well, just not well enough," Niese told MLB.com. "I had a lot of chances to close out the games. I've just got to do a better job of focusing when we have the lead, just putting up zeros." 

Miami outfielder Giancarlo Stanton leads the National League with 20 homers and 57 RBI. Stanton also ranks second in the NL in total bases (163), slugging percentage (.584) and OPS (.974) and is fourth in runs scored (54)

New York second baseman Daniel Murphy is second in the NL with 90 hits thus far this season.

The Mets and Marlins close out their four-game set live from Marlins Park in Miami this afternoon.
