Lawyer for Ray Rice makes his client look worse after suggesting hypothetical scenario of Rice's incident

A video recording of Rice dragging out of a casino elevator the limp body of Janay Palmer, who at the time was his fiancée, vent viral after TMZ made it public. Rice's entrance in the program will erase any legal entanglements Rice has in connection with the incident.

According to ProFootballTalk.NBCSports.com, however, Rice is certain to be suspended. So the question becomes when the NFL intends to announce his suspension and the length of the suspension.

The Ravens are preparing for a multi-game suspension by using a now-healthy Bernard Pierce more in team functions, ProFootballTalk.NBCSports.com added.

Rice's personal trainer said the four-year veteran is in the best shape of his career and is "flying right now, cutting on a dime and top speed is best it's ever been. He's in 'peak performance.' Kyle also mentioned Ray didn't want to blame anything on his body last year but he was too injured to be effective."

Rice reportedly bulked up last season in hopes of being able to handle the punishment of a 16-week schedule and ended up costing himself some speed. He finished with a career-low 610 rushing yards.

With the suspension looming, Rice should now have plenty of time to get to the weight he wants to be for the 2014 season. The only problem in that equation is the fact that Pierce and whoever backs him up have a chance to prove that they can run the ball effectively without him, putting Rice in a precarious position.
